A few years ago I had an idea to blend our family's plastics business, Shivery's PLASTICrafts, with my passion for painting. My husband began cutting textured acrylic sheet goods into window panels, napkin and candle holders, and clocks. I have been designing and painting ever since. The end result is a colorful stained-glass look.

 

I have added hand-painted light switch plates and have recently begun crocheting trellis ribbon necklaces.

 

I set up a booth at local craft shows to display and sell my merchandise.

 

My husband and I have three children with the youngest soon ready to start college. When I am not painting or crocheting, I am more than likely to be spending time with my wonderful grandchildren.

 

Life and family dynamics are ever-changing but the ride is great when you have a supportive husband and a wonderful family to share it with.
